media training program

Learn the skills to create, communicate, and inspire.

The Waterbury OIC Media Training is a hands-on program designed for aspiring content creators, entrepreneurs, job seekers, and community members who want to build practical digital media skills in today's fast-paced world. No previous experience is required—just a willingness to learn and create.

Participants receive instructor-led training in photography, videography, podcasting, social media content creation, basic graphic design, storytelling, and digital marketing. Through interactive projects and real-world assignments, students learn how to plan, produce, edit, and share compelling content using today's most popular media platforms and creative tools.

Whether you're looking to strengthen your resume, promote a business or nonprofit, launch a personal brand, or simply gain confidence using digital media, this course provides the knowledge and hands-on experience to help you succeed.

By the end of the program, participants will have developed a portfolio of original work, gained valuable technical and communication skills, and be better prepared for employment, entrepreneurship, or continued education in the growing creative and digital media industries.

Your story matters. Learn how to tell it with confidence.

This cohort is funded through a grant from the Waterbury Black Giving Circle at Connecticut Community Foundation.
